Fedia Marie Mirmonde Saint Charles-Bean is a linguist, author, performance artist and social media personality.  Her work promoting a balanced, positive and inclusive perspective of Haitian culture spans the spectrum of contemporary media. As a Creolist striving to mainstream the rich and fascinating language embodying the worldview of the Americas’ eldest independent black republic, her influence continues to ennoble and empower Haitian communities seeking to rediscover and share the rhythms of their cultural heritage.  She resides in Iowa with her husband of 20 years and their three boys and two dogs.
